Ranks among the five celebrated springs of Kamakura, a holy water Zeniarai-mizu is believed to increase your fortune ten times, hundred times if you wash your money in this water.
Sure enough the water is clear and miraculous, so climb up a slight hill with bountiful mind.

Park on top of a mountain is made with use of its landform and stretches over Eisyou-ji and back of Jyufuku-ji.
Grass plot in the park is a pleasant place to open your lunch box. Also ranks with Kamakura-yama, park is well-known for cherry blossoms in the spring, and autumn leaves in the fall.


Huge bronze statue of Buddha measures, including it‘s pedestal 13.35meters in height, face is 2.35meters in length, span of an eye alone is one meter wide! An ear also 1.9meters long and it weighs 121tons.
Inside of this statue is hollow, so Yoritomo‘s guardian deity and a statue of holy priest Yuuten can be seen inside. (Fee \20)
Smaller than Great Buddha at Nara, beautiful image of Buddha here is still very photogenic.

Traditionally said that the temple has been located here since no later than Kamakura-era and 9.18meters high principal image of the temple, Jyuuichi-men-kannon(eleven-faced Goddess of mercy)probably is the largest in Japan as a wooden statue.
 Another must-see spot when you visit Kamakura.


Located near to Hase-dera, Kousoku-ji was built by Yadoya Mitsuniri on his premises around 1280.
Often called Hana-dera(Flower temple), flower filled temple is very beautiful and scenic. Also a famous aronia tree planted beside the main hall of a temple is a hundred and fifty years old.
Usually at the beginning to mid-April is the season for flowers.


Among three seaside parks in Kamakura, Inamuragasaki is well-known. Photo showing a park with small hill located between Yuigahama and Inamuragasaki.
Good place for a family picnic.


A movie “Inamura Jane” is shot on this location, also well-known scenic spot for Mt.Fuji and the beautiful sunset, noted photographers even come take photos of them. Also known as one of the finest surf points in Shonan.
Once upon a time, travelers took a shoreline route beside headland carefully, so as not to be washed away by the waves.
